Registration required.

Ages 8-16. Compete for prizes in our Nintendo Switch tournament. All skill levels are welcome. Participants can sign up in teams of two or as individuals and we’ll pair you up.

Grades K-12. Need some help with your homework, to practice your reading skills, or just a place to study? Volunteers from MSU and local high schools will be at the library on Mondays after school to provide basic homework help.

Meetings are open to the public and the public is encouraged to attend. Meeting agendas and minutes can be viewed here. 

Ages 8-18. Visit us at the library after school for game time. We’ll have video games and board games on hand to play. No registration necessary and kids can drop in any time from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

All ages. Join us each month for a family-friendly movie, shown on our big screen with free popcorn. In addition to chairs, floor space will be provided in front of the screen, so feel free to bring a blanket to sit on.

All ages. The Lansing Symphony Orchestra is bringing their Family Series back to DTDL! Come to hear some beautiful music and learn more about a featured instrument.

Kids Book Club is a 4-week series! Registration is for all four sessions of the club.

A welcoming arts and crafts gathering for adults. Bring your own craft supplies or make use of the library’s coloring materials as you connect with fellow creative individuals.

A hands-on workshop focused on repairing and reviving well-loved clothing items. Learn the art of visible mending and add some color to old clothes with fun visible embroidery mends.

Ages 8-16. Learn the basics of chess from our teen volunteers, led by chess expert Gavin. Learn a new strategy each month, get practice playing, and level up your skills, from beginner Pawn to advanced King.
