Understanding Youth Tobacco and Cannabis Use: Parent Education Night

An educational opportunity that will focus on helping parents understand the current landscape of tobacco and cannabis use among youth. Learning how cannabis and nicotine products are marketed to young people, what today’s products look like, and why they can be difficult to recognize. The session will also review common warning signs parents should be aware of and provide guidance on how starting conversations early can help prevent use. The session is presented by Kaylynne Miesen, MPH, Community Health Promotion Specialist II, Barry-Eaton District Health Department and Emily Smale, Communications Specialist, Barry-Eaton District Health Department.
