Program Description

Event Details

The Bretton Woods Lions Club will be at the library offering free KidSight vision screening for those interested.

Parents will need to provide a consent form for their child(ren) prior to the screening. Consent forms are available at the library's Youth Services desk, downloadable here, and will also be on-site.

Project KidSight aims to prevent permanent vision loss through early detection and treatment of vision disorders in children. Project KidSight can quickly and accurately identify potential vision problems in children as young as age one without causing stress to the child. In less than one second, their portable high-tech vision screener measures and compares the refractive power of the child's eyes, pupil size, and corneal alignment to age based referral criteria. Learn more here.

Please register any children that you would like screened so we can get an estimate of attendance. Registering does not assign you a specific time, so you are welcome to come any time from 10:30 am-12 pm.
